WHAT IS THE PRODUCT?


Our Anabolic Drive is a bespoke recovery drink that includes everything you need to have straight after your workout to make sure you provide your body with an effective recovery nutrition so that you can always train at maximum intensity.

 


Post-workout nutrition is an essential. Without it, you will not see the results from the effort you put into your training. To get the most from the intensity you put into your workouts, you need to support your muscles with a high quality and well researched post-workout drink!

 

 

WHY HAVE ANABOLIC DRIVE?


To make sure you get results from your efforts, Anabolic Drive provides you with an optimum 15g of protein to help support the growth and maintenance of muscle, whilst supplying you with 30g of carbohydrates to ensure the recovery of your muscles, since after highly intensive and/or long-lasting physical exercise can lead to muscle fatigue and the depletion of glycogen stores in skeletal muscle.

 

 

BEHIND THE KEY INGREDIENTS


Whey Protein Concentrate is a high-quality form of protein, which is packed with all the essential amino acids including the branched chain amino acids (Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine). This is an excellent choice of protein for anyone to have, regardless if they’re young or old, active or inactive. This is especially beneficial for athletes and recreational gym goers, as it will be able to support a variety of training goals since a high protein intake will contribute to the growth and maintenance of lean muscle mass.

 

L-Glutamine is a non-essential amino acid, but that doesn’t mean it’s not beneficial. When you exercise, your body break down amino acids in your muscles, this is called catabolism, and because glutamine is one of the most abundant amino acids within the body, the levels of glutamine can be significantly depleted after exercise, making the restoration of this amino acid that got diminished during your workout essential.

 

Creatine is a nitrogen-containing organic compound naturally produced in the human body, but can also be obtained through a dietary source such as fish and meat, however, would require you to consume excessive amounts to achieve what can be provided in a single product. Creatine Monohydrate has been proven to increase physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high-intensity exercise and is ideal for sports which require high-intensity, explosive movements such as bodybuilders, powerlifters and sprinters.

 

Alpha Lipoic Acid is a fatty acid that is highly involved in body's natural antioxidant defences and the body’s energy metabolism. It is synthesised in the body and can be consumed through eating meats and minimally in some fruits/vegetables.

 


Chromium Picolinate is a bright-red chemical compound, which is an important and essential trace mineral that is naturally found in wholegrain foods, eggs, and meat. It is deemed ‘essential’ because small amounts are needed for human health. Chromium contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism and the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels, which is particularly important for those involved in sports that require glucose as an energy source.

 

Dextrose Monohydrate, also known as a glucose, is a sweet tasting carbohydrate that rates very highly on the Glycemic Index (GI). Maltodextrin is a complex carbohydrate, but rates quite high on the Glycemic index, just below simple carbohydrates like Dextrose but without the sweetness. These carbohydrates would rapidly replenish glycogen stores for those engaged in a long intense physical training.


 

 

WHEN WOULD I USE IT?


Since our Anabolic Drive contains carbohydrates for your muscle recovery after high intensity and/or endurance exercise in order to replenish muscular glycogen stores, we recommend you to have 1 large scoop after a workout. Ideally, you should take this 15 to 30 minutes after your training, but should be consumed within a minimum of 4 hours after your workout, as the beneficial effects are obtained through carbohydrates is within the first 4 hours and no later than 6 hours of exercise.
