What is Iodine Forte?

Iodine Forte contains everything you need to nourish one of the master glands in your body - the thyroid gland.

An under-active thyroid (hypothyroidism) can wreak havoc on your health, as it can result in tiredness, weight gain, depression and muscle aches, so making sure you're getting all the right nutrients is vital for you to achieve optimal health.

T4 (which is the inactive form of the thyroid hormone) is converted into T3 (the active form) which will only happen if selenium, iodine & tyrosine are all present, and since this product contains natural source of kelp (which is naturally rich in iodine), tyrosine and selenium (and also added vitamin C) it ultimately makes this is a powerful product to maintain a healthy thyroid.

Having your thyroid functioning normally will help you maintain a healthy metabolism, immune system and reduce any tiredness & fatigue.

Behind key ingredients

Iodine is an element that is naturally found in seawater (making sea fish & shellfish a good source of iodine) and some types of soil (resulting in being found in some grains). The human body does not make iodine, so it's essential to have it as a part of your daily diet since iodine helps contribution to normal thyroid function and production of thyroid hormones.

These hormones help to keep cells and the metabolic rate healthy and many other important functions, such as maintaining healthy skin, supporting the normal cognitive and neurological function as well. If you do not have enough iodine in your body, you cannot make enough thyroid hormone. Thus, iodine deficiency can lead to enlargement of the thyroid (goitre) and hypothyroidism, which can lead to other serious health consequences.

Manganese

This mineral naturally occurs in our bodies in very small amounts. This mineral acts as a co-enzyme to assist metabolic activity in the human body. Manganese is also very important for the formation of connective tissues, maintenance of our bones, and the metabolism of fatty acids.

Tyrosine

Is one of the non-essential amino acids, (building blocks of protein), it is considered a non-essential amino acid since it can be made in the body from another amino acid called phenylalanine, which is found in many high-protein food products. Tyrosine is a precursor to many hormones as it can be converted into key physiological compounds including epinephrine, levodopa, Coenzyme Q10, melanin and various thyroid hormones.

Selenium

This is an essential mineral and even though people only need a very small amount, it plays a key role in the body to make sure our immune system and thyroid function are functioning correctly. Without selenium, there would be no activation for the thyroid hormone, as there’s a strong correlation between thyroid dysfunction and low selenium levels in the body.

Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)

This vitamin is a water-soluble vitamin, which means the body doesn’t store this vitamin in the body, so you will need to have them more frequently. This vitamin is necessary for the growth, development and repair of all body tissues. It's involved in many body functions, including the formation of collagen, absorption of iron, the immune system, wound healing, and the maintenance of cartilage, bones, and teeth.

Gugulipid

Quite often referred to as guggul or spelt as guggulipid, has a long history of use in Ayurveda, the traditional Indian system of medicine dating back over 2,500 years ago, making it an ancient medicinal herb. Gugulipid is a natural remedy that is extracted from the sticky resinous sap secreted from the bark of the Commiphora tree. This small thorny tree is also known as Commiphora Wightii, Mukul Myrrh, Guggal or Guggul, that is commonly found in northern India and is also infrequently found from northern Africa to central Asia.

Ashwagandha

This her is one of the most important herbs in Ayurveda, a form of alternative medicine based on Indian principles of natural healing. It has been used for over 3,000 years to relieve stress, increase energy levels and improve concentration. “Ashwagandha” is Sanskrit for “smell of the horse,” which refers to both its unique smell and ability to increase strength. Its botanical name is Withania somnifera, and it is also known by several other names, including Indian ginseng and winter cherry.

When would I use it?

This potent product comes in the form of easy & conventional capsules. For the most optimal results, we suggest that you take 3 of these capsules with breakfast so that it provides you aid throughout the day.

Who should use this?

This product is great for both males and females of any ages or level activity. It's ideally for those that have diets deficient in essential thyroid nutrients such as iodine, selenium and/or tyrosine, and are wanting to maintain a healthy thyroid gland.
