The Gut Instinct Seminar
10/11th November 2018
In November 10/11th 2018 I (Phil Richards) will be running a 2 day workshop along with my colleagues Nigel Plummer Phd & Jamie Pugh Phd, in Worcester. We will go into great depth on the importance of having a fully functional digestive system for you to acquire optimum health, body fat composition, gain lean muscle tissue and have full mental clarity.
From my (Phil Richards) perspective after studying nutrition for 30 years I know realise that the key to optimum performance is optimum gut health. From my analysis of several hundred comprehensive blood chemistry analysis over the years I usually see in people low stomach acid, poor bile production, dysfunctional liver & pancreatic function, leaky gut, Small Intestine Bacterial Over Growth and dysbiosis in the large intestine. When you have one or a number of the above conditions just mentioned it will have a domino effect on the whole body from chronic inflammation, nutrient deficiencies, hormonal imbalances, mood disorders, obesity and autoimmune diseases.
In this dynamic 2 day workshop you will learn everything you need to know about your gut health to optimise your health and performance from 3 leading experts in their fields Phil Richards, Dr Nigel Plummer PhD & Dr Jamie Pugh
If you truly want to gain an edge you truly need to attend this workshop! More details to follow.

The gut is the most multifunctional organ in the body, and contains 80% of our immune system, 70% of our hormonal output, and possesses its own 'nervous system' connected to our brain. In this presentation, Nigel will provide a comprehensive and fascinating overview into the functions of the gut and how together with its microbiome, interacts with virtually all other parts of our physiology.

Causative, inputs such as stress, antibiotics, exercise induced inflammation, and endotoxemia and poor diet will be discussed.
In this last lecture Nigel will also outline the essential nutrients required to optimise gut function. This will include the practical use of probiotics and prebiotics, glutamine, n-acetyl glucosamine, even mechanisms for reducing allergy.
