Fish Oil Liquid

There are many known benefits of fish oil, but for those of us that don't like fish or can't stand the fishy after taste after using a fish oil liquid or capsule you need a fish oil that doesn't leave a fish after taste!

Ultimate Fish Oil is probably the UK's most advanced fish oil liquid, each teaspoon gives you an incredible 690mg of EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid), 670mg of DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). This is much more than a fish oil, this formula also has an added high dose of fat soluble vitamins.

EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) & DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) is the building material for synaptic communication centres. You can’t create more synapses, dendrites, or receptors that increase your brain’s potential without a robust supply of EPA & DHA. Like a growing tree, any time a nerve cell makes a new branch it requires new raw materials.  Without adequate EPA & DHA available branching out cannot happen. If brain fats are not available in needed amounts you will not grow new dendrites & axons and have a very hard time learning new material.

Vitamins A & D work synergistically, e.g. vitamin A is necessary for both vitamin D binding and release at receptor sites. Vitamin A is important for eye and skin health. Vitamin D has been found to have numerous benefits including; bone health, skin health, immune function and many others.

An important aspect of vitamin E's role as an antioxidant is the fact that it's fat-soluble (unlike e.g. vitamin C, which is water-soluble). Consequently, vitamin E is exceedingly valuable in protecting cell membranes (which are fatty in composition) from oxidative damage caused by free radicals. By helping to keep the membranes healthy, it helps keep the entire cell healthy as well.

All of the tissues in the body contain lipids (fats and other fatty compounds), but the brain is especially rich in these vital substances, which are highly susceptible to oxidative damage from free radicals. The brain therefore requires a great deal of antioxidant protection - all the more so because it consumes a disproportionate amount of the body's oxygen supply, making it that much more vulnerable to oxidative damage, so in essence of this a healthy intake of vitamin E can aid the protection of DNA, proteins and lipids from oxidative damage.

Coenzyme Q10 is a compound present in mitochondria of every cell in the body.  When mitochondria produce energy in the form of ATP, they also release free radicals that can damage sensitive tissues of the brain.  A study conducted in Chung Shan Medical University in 2012 had CoQ10 at 60mg or 150mg given daily to patients of coronary heart disease and the CoQ10 supplements at a dose of 150mg had decrease the oxidative stress and increase antioxidant enzyme activity in the patients, which will allow you to preserve valuable cells in the brain

There have also been studies on how the heart muscle requires an incredible amount of CoQ10 to circulate oxygenated and nutrient-rich blood through your body, which will ultimately help not only your health, but increase brain function. The study that relates back to this was published in the European Heart Journal in 2006, where 23 subjects with chronic heart failure were given CoQ10 at 300mg daily (in three divided dosages) and had improved the functional capacity after 4 weeks of supplementation. In a healthy heart there is 10 times more CoQ10 than in any other organ.

Vitamin K2 is made in your body and also produced by fermented foods and is seen as superior form of vitamin K. Increasing your K2 by consuming more fermented foods is the most desirable way to increase your levels. The food highest in natural K2 is natto, which is a form of fermented soybeans consumed in Asia.

Having a form of vitamin K in your diet will help your body with blood clotting and also aids the maintenance of bones, so when you get vitamin K deficient it increases the risk of excessive bleeding (haemorrhage) and also a higher chance of osteoporosis and fractures, all of which are very undesirable.

Vitamin K2 is a critical nutrient for patients with arteriosclerosis as it has the potential to prevent and remove calcium from arteriosclerotic plaques thus making plaques easier to dissolve and less dangerous. A large epidemiological study from the Netherlands illustrates this point well. The researchers collected data on the vitamin K intakes of the subjects between 1990 and 1993 and measured the extent of heart disease in each subject, who had died from it and how this related to vitamin K2 intake and arterial calcification. They found that calcification of the arteries was the best predictor of heart disease. Those in the highest third of vitamin K2 intakes were 52% less likely to develop severe calcification of the arteries, 41% less likely to develop heart disease, and 57% less likely to die from it. (Geleijnse et al., 2004, pp. 3100-3105) However, intake of vitamin K1 had no effect on cardiovascular disease outcomes.
